Stanford made a Sentence Correction error in the letters for referees

For the letters your recommenders will be writing, look at the second essay. Stanford admission team wrote:

"How does the candidate's performance compare to other well-qualified individuals in similar roles?"

The mistake is that, the "candidate's performance" is compared to "individuals".

The correct sentence should be:

"How does the candidate's performance compare to that of other well-qualified individuals in similar roles?"

Thanks to the GMAT, I can now spot many little mistakes people write :)
